This was not there when I checked the eggs on Saturday morning. When I find a rogue egg it always goes in the compost. If I am not sure when it was laid, it gets the boot.
I tried gathering all the eggs in the evening when I lock the girls in. That worked but I would rather go out several times during the day so no eggs are stepped on and cracked, stepped on and gotten muddy or get pooped on. I had 11 but I halfway dropped one and it got a small crack in it. Another one bites the dust.
While I am in WV Mark and Michael are on duty these next few days. I get pictures all through the day of the progress in egg production.
