New Plants

Everything looks soooo good.

Sweet potato vines in with a plant I found growing on the side of the compost bin.  Just going to see what happens with it.

A new raised bed that Murph put together filled with sweet potato vines and zinnia seeds.

Veggies Are Coming!

Little cucumber arms are grabbing on and pulling up.

We have some amazing-looking tomato flowers!

Murph Always Says It Is A Journey

Yes, Murph!  I found this on Facebook and borrowed it.  Thanks to the person that first posted it.

We added a little straw to keep the weeds down and to keep our feet dry when it rains.

I love my little Amish barn.

The cornfield is planted.

Mulched with some pine fines.

Now we sit and pray over each bed and patiently wait for the magic to happen.

Corn Is Coming Soon

We are going to try growing corn this year.  Not a lot of it and it will be mostly to be used in preschool.

He loves to trim bushes.  I am not fond of him trimming bushes.  He gives them a burr cut.  He is helping get the 'corn field' ready.

The yahoos helped remove all the rocks so Murph could do his thing.

I took out all the weeds!  I wish I had a before picture.

Here it is from another angle.  This corner never looked this good.  Well, maybe last year when it was the watermelon patch.

New Things In The Garden

So proud of this!

This is our alarm system for the Strawberry Garden.

Results of An 8 Hour Work Day

strawberries, a few herbs, peppers, and marigolds

tomatoes and the goat pen garden

tomatoes and cucumbers

tomatoes

eggplant, cukes tomatoes, chard

Four sisters and gourds galore

We haven't set up the hydroponic garden yet but everything else is in the ground!  And it looks WONDERFUL!

I think we have mason bees.

This is what happens when you forget to water plants that have been sitting in the sun all day.

Not to worry I fixed it with a little shade and a lot of water.

I see seeds sprouting!

This side of the garden is planted and ready to rock.

Pappy and his helpers trying to fix the old tiller.

Pappy had to buy us (Murph) a new tiller.

AND HE LOVES IT!

It's Beginning To Explode

We must have 25 different kinds of basil.  They are companion plants to the tomatoes.

strawberry blossom

Christmas basil

tomatillos

chives

Plants Are Going In

We moved the tomatoes over here.

And peppers over here.  The opposite from last year.

Sometimes I dread when Mark comes back from a different errand and he has more plants than we know what to do with.

But I certainly do like his choices.
