Then The Sky Sent White Stuff

It snowed this afternoon.

And not too many are too excited about it.

Not excited at all.

And this little lady loves the snow!

They don't mind it at all either.

They love their stacked high to the bucket straw and their new door.

Somehow This Happened

60 Degrees At The End Of Jan

We usually don't put eggs in the compost bin but I found five eggs in the Chicken Hospital/Time-Out Coop.  Who knows who made the deposit or how long they have been there, so to be on the safe side they will be turned into dirt.  The girls love to scratch in the compost bins.  Lots of juicy worms there!

Strutting her stuff.

Going to keep watch on all that good stuff.

Ruby loves talking to people.

SNOW

The girls finally ventured out.  Not for very long but they were out!

When your feet get cold, you just tuck them up, get them warm and then switch off.

And then there were some that just lined the nest with some more feathers.

And then the goats got to come out to play!  they loved it,  Running and jumping...just being crazy.

Boogie is looking good.

Boot ate some snow out of the bird bath.

Just so you know, we put a door with hinges on the front of the goat house.  We can swing it out to clean it and this summer we can swing it out so it will be cooler for them.  Scoot was sound asleep.  I had to go in to make sure he hadn't stopped breathing.  He was sound asleep!

Look at them all snuggled up.

Little girls said heck no, we don't like the snow!

They are hiding!

So....I had read they goat love evergreens.  I mentioned it to Mike...a few days later he stopped up the street and picked up a tree on the side of the road.  And they love it!

They love it!
