Just In A Week This Can Happen

The first picked radish!

Finally getting pole beans on!

This little red ball of goodness is peeking out almost ready to pick.

Those silly squirrels are at it again.

a male blossom

a female blossom

And more pole beans!

Watermelon # 14 just hanging around waiting to grow.

And then this happened.  I caught all three dogs IN the melon patch.  When Imogene say me she high-tailed it back under the fence and into the house.  Gladys came when I called her once she knew she was in deep trouble then she played dead.  Ollie was clueless and continued to stand in the middle of the watermelons and bark.

Our cantaloupe has lost its hair and is getting tougher skin.

And then there was this.  I heard Ollie just making a ruckus and couldn't figure out what was wrong.  I found him stuck in the newly planted raised bed.  Somehow he had gotten in the bed but then couldn't get back out.

I did a little reading about pumpkin vines and when you should cut them.  We had some kind of powdery mildew all over the leaves.  So I just hacked them all off.

This was the end result.
