Took A Little Walk Out Back

This is one crazy chicken...roosting on the top of the grill, on top of the grill covered with a tarp, then on the wagon seat.  Crazy!

It has been a little wet and muddy.

They love it when I throw some alfalfa over the fence.

But the sweet feed is what they like the best.

And sometimes they even share.

And these are the last of the chickens...Bertha

I love my little farm!

Trick-Or-Treat For The Girls

Wae tried popping a small ear of corn that the ladies at the Farmer's Market said would be fun.

The girls weren't to sure about it at first.

I had to show them that is was a good thing.

Then it was a free for all.

Finally Put Them To Good Use

They finally have earned their keep.  We have spent the last four days cleaning up the backyard.  Boy, do they love the weeds.

They just followed us around the yard and ate their way through several pounds of weeds.

They even ate in the light drizzle.

But then they got into a little bit of trouble because they ate some hydrangeas that I wanted to dry.

She Made Her Way In

When no one was looking, Inez made her way into the house.  Mark found her roosting on the blue baby seat.  He shooed her out.  I didn't believe him and tried to see if she would do it again.  Yep, didn't take her two minutes.

She was eyeing Pappy's chair.

Yes, she did!  Then she was whisked outside in a NY minute.

Crazy Chickens...Never A Dull Moment

We may not have many chickens but they are pretty ones!

For the last few days, the girls have either been laying somewhere else which I can't find or they have matures enough to not lay eggs anymore.  I'm not telling Mark because I know what he will say that we need to do.  And I am not doing it.  NO WAY!

Inez is off her rocker.  She refuses tog o to the roost at night.  Usually, she is all snuggled in by the dryer vent but tonight, when I let the dogs out this, is where I found her.

See they are pretty.

Even when they are molting.

Snuggled up and ready for some shut-eye.

An Afternoon With The Boys

They found the surprise bucket of food.

But Scoot knows where the real bucket is.

Word gets around fast.

Boogie could care less.  He found some good wild morning glories to munch on.

And then the chickens got wind and then it was a free for all.

Boogie had some in all of the buckets.
