A Quick Look

These are pics of the fruits and veggies for June.

This pretty much sums up the summer around here.

This is a job I don't like much...thinning out the squash.

Mystery plant...I think maybe a squash.

Tiny little cucumbers from the plants Shannon shared with me.

Murph's cucumbers.

Delicious sweet peas.  straight out of the garden is the only way I eat them.

Strawberries

Avery loves peas.  I couldn't get them fast enough for him.

She is getting ripe.

Emmy's ground cherries.

Mystery plant #2 is no longer a mystery...it is a zucchini.

Avery eating strawberries.

The first harvested garlic.

blueberries

Swiss chard

cucumber

pepper

The first raspberry.

And there are more.

another squash

raspberry bushes

Another garlic harvest.  It now has all been pulled and in the garage drying.

Thank you Imogene for our first potatoes.  They are so pitiful.

All the berries are in the ground but Mark is not really happy with the berry patch.  So we will redo it at a later date.

Sunsugar cherry tomatoes

I beat the yahoos to the first strawberry.  It was so sweet and delicious.

The lettuce is in the hydroponic garden.

Indigo rose cherry tomato

eggplant

sweet pea blossom

The one stalk of corn growing among the onions.  I have no idea how it got there.

A ground cherry blossom and you can see inside the paper of the other tomato.

Levi helping with the garden.

Our peppers just haven't taken off yet this year.  I don't think the cool, wet weather is helping at all.

The variety of beans is starting to climb the trellis.

cucumber blossoms

the peas finally decided that they better get moving.  They heard us talking about pulling them to plant more seeds.

Aren't they beautiful?

blackberries

Things are slowly moving and we are making progress.  Maybe not as fast as we would like.

Be patient grasshopper!
