Garden Helpers While We Are Gone

Connnor loves a good trip to Wammy and Pappy's.  He is a great garden helper for Murph.

The Heitkamp's came over for their watering lesson.  They are going to be the keepers of the vegetables while we are in the wilds of WV.  One rule...if you pick it you must take a no thank you bite.  And watering the beds is no joke around here.  There are lots of them and it takes about 30 minutes per section.  So it is sometimes a half of a day process.

I didn't get a picture of Erin.  She is making sure that all the flowers and flower beds get watered.  It not only takes a village to raise children it takes a village to make sure nothing dies in the horrible heat!

And sometimes you get to blow bubbles and play in the yard.

The last of the peas!

It smells amazing!

Vegetable Beds All Cleaned Up

First some new hangers for the hoses.  Murph has been dreaming of these for such a long time.

They are perfect.

Finished Flower Beds

Remember these 31 bags of mulch?

Remember these 31 bags of mulch?

They all have found a home.

We transplanted three hydrangea bushes and replaced them with some hosta from the other side of the house.

Hopefully, in a few years, this bed will be nothing but Monkey Grass.
