For All Peep's Girlfriends

Every week at breakfast 'the ladies' at Wyngate, the place where my kid is the rooster in the henhouse, ask about NottaLotta.  they love hearing stories about what goes on there.  They asked me to take some pictures when I was home so they could see the boys and the girls.  So here you go ladies!

This is Bertha.  She is so pretty!  Feathers on her feet that are so dirty when it rains.

The ghetto pool is also a bubblier in WI or water fountain in OH.

We have twin Barred Rocks, Leona and Amelia.  Can't really tell them apart.  I think that Leona is the most friendly one.  I think she is checking to see when the Cluck-Thru is going to open.

Dory getting a good dust bath in her favorite place from when she was younger.  I love the green eggs that she lays.

We call the big metal one our rooster.  That is the only kind we can have...silent ones.  The beautiful black bird is Esthelle.

If that was Lenona then this is Amelia.

Inez getting her drink of water.

This sassy pants id RayJeana...named after my mom and dad.

She is my blue egg layer.

They love it when I throw little treats in and around the compost bin.  I love it when they scratch in the compost bin.

The chocolate egg layer.  She seems to be a slacker.  I have only gotten two chocolate eggs in her lifetime.  She is named after our grandmother...they both were Ethel's.

At it again.  Must be some real juicy worms.

Gladys is in the middle of a molt.  I sure hope she does better than her sister,  EffieGrace.

they spent a fair amount of time scratching around.  I could sit all day and watch them.

And then you have this to contend with.  That silly goat.  He thinks he is human and can sit in the chairs.

Mabel like it when I clean out the rabbit cage.  It is amazing all the things they will eat that drop on the ground.  And then they will scratch for hours under the rabbit hutch.

Agnes and Mabel could be twins.  I always need to look to see the differences in their comb.

This is Ruby and she has her nose in everyone's business.

I heard a ruckus in the nesting box.  When I opened it this is what I found.  Inez one of the older girls in the wrong cook and Bertha telling her all about it.  Inez finally laid an egg and then Gladys sat on it to keep it warm for me..

Today was the day for hoof trimming.  Boot and Boogie did just fine.  I think Scoot still remembers me holding him during his surgery to remove 'the boys' a few months back.  I had to call in reinforcements.  Michael came out and helped me catch him then sort of pin him against the fence.  There was no taking him to the 'milking stand'.  I also had to check one of his pads on his foot.  He was limping.  I found a puncture wound in the pad.  I cleaned it up the best I could and will watch it closely.

Boot is turning into being a real lover.

Boogie  into something he is not supposed to be in.

He is the sweetest of the three.  He loves to be loved on, brushed and talked to.

I decided to give the chickens a little goat feed.  Well, actually it was to entice the goats up on 'the milking stand.'

RayJeana got in on the act too.

Boot , of course, found the treat right away.

Those silly chickens.  That is where the goats go.

Roosting in the Burning Bushes.

So sweet......

Black beauty...Esthelle.

Pitiful.

And then there is this beautiful molt.

A shy beauty.

Oh no they found a frozen egg.

RayJeana walking down the bridge into the compost bin.

Love the quilt squares on the fence.  I painted the big one and I found the other two at Miller Brother's.
