They Are At It Again

I guess we won't be planting any flowers in the bathtub this year either.

I was hoping that they had moved on to another place.

So in the small red coop, there are four really nice, clean nesting boxes.  This is box 1.

Nesting box 4!  This is the only one that they use.  And they totally ignore the other cook all together.

I had a heart to heart with this beauty.

Told her that this was not the only nice nesting box.

She squawked a bit ...

...but then began to check them out.

Comb Check...No Problems Here

It has been really cold and snowy and I haven't seen much of the girls at the Cluck-Thru until today. They have been knocking all morning long.  So I gave them a little cornbread treat so I could check their combs.  Not everyone participated so we will get them later.  Haven't laid hands eyes on EffieGrace this morning either.  Sounds like I'll make a quick trip after lunch.

Sunny has a few little spots.  Nothing major.

RayJeana  has a seed on her comb.

Crispy needs a little B&W tonight.

Judy looks the best of all of them.

Esthelle looks good too.  So I guess we are good so far.  Now how to get the others over without these guys taking over the treats?

Should I Be Worried?

Everyone is sleeping. And I always sneak out to check on the chickens.  I get to chat with them a little bit and I always check for eggs.  This is what I found today...

The girls are acting normal.  No one is out of sorts.  Should I be concerned?  Or did they just eat the egg and the shell.  No shell remains were found.  Could someone egg bound?  Help!
