A Blustry Day

I got to spend some quality time with the big girls today while Mark and I were trying to secure a tarp over the run.  The wind was whipping it like crazy!

Afternoon In The Sun

Can you find the chicken that is a human chicken?

Sassy one standing in the dish.

Standing on one foot.

She is one fat chicken.  Some of this is just fluffy feathers.

Trashpicking in Progress

Ellis and I ran some errands this morning and the last one was dropping off the recycling.  On the way there I saw this huge pumpkin.  It had the girl's names all over it.  I asked Ellis if he thought he could get it.  Yep he agreed!

He crossed the street, looking both ways, and then tried to pick the pumpkin up.  Well, that was not happening!  We are just brilliant!  Used the recycling tub.  He rolled the pumpkin in the snow to the bucket.  Now the pumpkin is even heavier because it is coated with snow...a big pumpkin snowball!

We decided that we better drop it to split in into for the girls.  Ellis wanted that honor.  I had to lift it up to his waiting arms.

'Ready Wammy?  Get it when I drop it.'

'Awesome'

The Little Girls loved it!

Sunny wanted out to check out the snow.

The Big Girls weren't so sure.

Then they really got into it!

Venturing Out

They are still laying!  We are getting about 6 eggs a day...depends on how much sun we get.  It is amazing the things that you can learn when you have something you are interested in.

And I now know that they can fly high...like high enough to fly over the fence.  Because they don't really like the feel of the snow they are flying everywhere.  So funny!
