Been Put To Sleep

This weekend I worked on getting the gardens tucked in and put to sleep before the cold and wet weather gets here.

Three of the four raised beds are tucked in nicely.  The fourth is still waiting for the garlic to be planted.  Hopefully, we will have time to do it early this week before the rains come.

The Goat Pen got a little extra coverage with the leaves that were gathering in the corners.

I even covered my one and only flower bed.

I might need to give the strawberry beds one last bunch of straw.  Looks like they might get cold.

A little sad that the season is finished but I can now dream and plan on what plants go where next year.

Good night sweet veggies!

And now the garlic has been planted and put to sleep.

The Last 'Harvest'

I was doing a little winter garden prep and look what I ran across.

We seem to be growing lots of mini vegetables.  These are smaller than baby carrots.

Baby potatoes with some even smaller ones hanging on.

Baby radishes

And the prettiest little cabbage that I have ever seen.

Theses Gardens Keep On Giving

This is the last head of cauliflower.  And one of the littlest carrots.

Of course, Avery would like a bite.

Pappy's turn to try out a little carrot.

We still have carrots and radishes in the grow bags and three cabbage plants.  A freeze is called for tonight and maybe some snow on Tuesday.  Better check everything tomorrow morning.
