I Lost Something The Other Day...

No, it wasn't any of The Boys!

I know exactly where to find them.

I lost their licorice!  I even text Ms. Yvonne in WI to see if she had seen them.  I jsut happened to look up and saw them on top of the TV.  Who knows.  I probably put them there.

Anyone Looking For A Great Chicken Run and Coop

We are down to only 5 chickens.  We just don't need two coops anymore.  Mark says that his chicken farming days are over.  So we are selling the big green coop.

I had it posted on several sites.  Even had three people interested.  The first lady jsut couldn't get the help she needed to pick it up.  The second and third people answered the ad while we were on vacation.  So while we were without reliable service on vacation, they got their coops elsewhere.  So if you know anyone looking for a really nice coop, send them my way.  I saved Wammyville money to buy it and now a few years later only selling it $300.

It also comes with hardwire clothe and pegs that go all around the exterior under the ground to keep predators from digging under.   Two roosts.  A PVC pipe tube feeder, and a blinking red light to keep animals away at night.

Double doors for easy access to roost.

double moveable roost

Three large nesting boxes...also easy to get to.

The run unscrews from the coop and can lay flat.

I made a rough drawing of the dimensions.

You will need to tear down and transport.  I think it will easily fit in the back of a pick-up truck.

Sad To Say

It is sad because this summer we lost four chickens.  I am okay with that.  It all is just part of having animals and nature.  All the 'farmers' that were caring for the animals while we were gone feel really bad about it happening on their watches.  Mark is pretty excited about it.  We have 5 girls left.  I had a little photo shoot with them today.

It is no wonder we have so few flowers in the backyard.

I gave them a little bit of scratch to keep them close to the camera so I wouldn't
have to chase them all over the yard like a crazy woman.

Scratching in the goat pen.

She loves the camera or is it me?

Just finishing up a little bit of molting.

Always camera shy.

We aren't sure what happened to the others.  I think two just died of natural causes.  One was egg bound I think.  And something got to the last one.  So now each night I say goodnight to them and lock them in the coop.  And every morning they call for me to let them out so they can find bugs and all kinds of other good stuff to eat.

Strange Eggs

She is getting to be a real chicken-whisperer.

Now here is a strange thing.  An egg with no shell.

Crazy I know!

Out To Play

The boys got to come out and play with Ellis and Alaire last weekend.

Hey Mom, I think we like s'mores!

Please oh please, can we have some!

I promise I won't get all stickie!

You guys go on and keep asking her while I get all the black licorice treats!

My Little Helpers

Every time I begin to weed, these two always help by eating all the bugs.

One bed down...lots left!

Egg production is at it's highest.  Come get them I have them on the porch every morning.

The Girls Are Growing Up

Seems that the girls like to sleep in close quarters...They all have decided to sleep and eat in the red coop.  So we would like to sell the Green Coop.  I have posted it on several 'farm' sites.  So I  decided to post it here too.  We are asking $300 for it.

It has been a great coop for our girls.  We added the plastic for the winter and decided to leave it for the rainy days of spring.

There are three nesting boxes that are so easy to get to when gathering eggs.

The side doors have plexiglass sheets in them that can be removed in the hot days of summer. And it comes with a blinking red predators stay-away-from-us light.

Two roosts and wire that goes all around the outside coop to keep the predators from digging tunnels under the sides.

Three large nesting boxes.

Look Inez is being like Vanna White.
The run comes apart easily.  And the roost and nesting boxes can travel as is.

Please PM me if you are interested.  Please feel free to share where ever you feel someone might see it that will use it.

Some Kind Of Crazy

The new place to sit and look at us in the family room.  Also, the compost bowl is right there.  I think there is a method to their madness.

She is in again.
