Now That's An Egg For Ya

Talk about your Easter Eggers!  Check out how green this egg is.  I wonder if it had anything to do with all the watermelon that she ate?

Happy St. Patty's Day

I was a little disturbed to find this.  Figured out from reading and asking my expert bird guy, Lester, that it is a calcium deposit.  No real danger.  But the shell is really thin on one end.  Then yesterday there was another.  I think Susie may have a calcium deficiency.  Making something to take care of that today.

No matter what the weather The little Girls lay 6 eggs just about everyday!  Those Big Girls need to get on the nest!

St. Patty's Day in the coop today.  Two green eggs!

Green Eggs and Ham

I even see some blue ones too.  You can tell and true blue eggs from the others because the shell is blue on the inside and the outside.

Green Eggs!

What a shock!  I found a green egg in the little girls nesting box!  And RayJeana is the proud depositor!

And it gets better...today there were two green eggs!  Guess I need to hang out around the coop and listen for the laying clucks and see who comes out.  We still have one silly bird that hasn't figured out there is a comfy nesting box to lay in.  Need to figure out a way to help her understand that.
